Critical Pedagogy and Math

I found this presentation on Prezi.com I was exploring the website looking for ideas on ways to present my thesis this coming weekend. I came across this presentation in their explore section called "Math is Not Linear". This presentation is amazing and clearly Alison, the woman who created it is a critical pedagogue. Throughout the entire presentation she is advocating for student centered learning that problematizes the ways that we have traditionally thought about math. Whether or not you are a math teacher, if you are an educator at all this presentation will be useful. I can't wait to use some of her ideas in the college classes that I teach on gender and sexuality.
